ABOUT HOMESTEAD MUNCupertino, California

Who are we?

Homestead Model United Nations is a group of students, dubbed MUNions, who try to solve problems larger than we are through diplomacy, in rooms where the person sitting next to us may vehemently oppose our idea.

But through researching global issues, concocting arguments, writing resolutions, and defending our ideas we can change the tide of opinion in our favor, helping whichever country or person we are chosen to represent succeed.

Almost everyone in Homestead MUN has a story of a time when their delegation accidentally reincarnated as a different person midway through the conference, or when Taylor Swift somehow rallied everyone in their committee to vote for them as president.

But in all the chaos, we still find time to learn diplomatic skills, collaborate effectively, and forge friendships that outlast Model UN.

research → speeches → negotiation → chaos → repeat.
